Stuffed Pasta Shells with Sauce



You fill these pasta shells with a creamy and cheesy mixture and then bake them in marinara sauce until they are done. They are easy to make and filling, so you can eat them any night of the week.

Ingredients:

  • 24 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 pound ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350F 175C

Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente

Drain and set aside

In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper

Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the cheese mixture

Spread 1 cup of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish

Arrange stuffed shells in the baking dish

Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, until heated through and bubbly

Serve stuffed pasta shells in bowls with additional grated Parmesan on top, if desired
